Who is Premanand Ji Maharaj?

Premanand ji Maharaj is such a wonderful saint, about whom less will be said. Because Premanand ji Maharaj’s kidneys are bad and he is a saint to whom many celebrity players, sikhs, and famous personalities go for advice and blessings.

Premanand ji Maharaj Thak is a saint in Vrindavan who has many devotees; he is still alive despite his two kidneys failing. Now you may be wondering why I said alive because the doctor said that Premanand Ji Maharaj would live longer, but he is alive now.

Born into a humble Brahmin family, he was named Aniruddh Kumar Panday. He was born in a place called Kanpur in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India.

When he was studying in 5th grade, he started thinking that one day his parents would all die. No one is permanent in this world; who will be loved and who will not?

He thinks of whom he will love and who will be with him forever; he thinks that there is no one but God who will be with him.

At the age of 13, he left home and went to Baranoshi Ghat. His father wanted to take him home, but he said, I want to attain God. Do what your father likes.

Her father said that I should never hear of you indulging in any bad behavior or adultery. And if you don’t need to hear anything like this, I’ll kill you myself.

Premanand ji Maharaj says to his father, I just want to attain Bhagavat, and you don’t have to listen to anything. Premanand ji Maharaj spent half of his life in Baranoshi Ghat with great suffering.

His daily routine was to bathe in the river Ganges three times a day, sit under a huge sacred fig tree at Tulsi Ghat, and meditate on the Ganges and Mahadeva for a while.

Then for a while, he would sit among the vicars for 15 minutes for something to eat; if someone gave him something to eat, otherwise he would drink Ganga water and get up and go to meditate.

Some days would pass without eating, and he would live under the open sky.

Premanand ji Maharaj’s age is approximately sixty years. His height is about five feet seven inches, and his weight is about 68 kg. If you want to know about his physical condition, then I will say that his two kidneys are bad.

How did he come from Varanasi to Vrindavan:
Premanand Ji Maharaj was sitting and meditating one day when Lord Shiva inspired him to imagine what Vrindavan would be like. Then an unknown saint came to him and said, Bhai Sri Hanuman University, there is a religious event organized by Sri Ramasarba Acharya.

Where Shree Chaitanya Leela is organized during the day and Ras Leela at night. The saint told Premandaji that this rasalila will continue for a month; artists have come from Vrindavan; let’s go. Premandaji says, You go; I will not go. Premandaji was forced to go to that saint.

After a month, the show was over, and all the artists were getting ready to go home when Premanandji became sad that Chaitanya Leela and Rasalila would not be seen again.

Then Premanandaji went to the conductor and said, Take me with you; I will do all the work for you, and you don’t have to pay anything in return. I just want to see Chaitanya Leela and Ras Leela.

Then the conductor says it is not possible, but once you go to Vrindavan, Bihariji (Krishna) will not leave you. Premanda Ji says this sentence changed her life. He said I kept on thinking this sentence, following the Guru Mantra and following the Conductor Guru.

Then it came to Premanandji’s mind that I must go to Vrindavan. While he was meditating on the tulsi ghat, the Sankatamchan Hanuman Mandir worshiper couple Kishore brought the prasad, saying, Take the prasad.

Premanda ji was not acquainted with anyone alone; he did not think he should take Prasad. Premanda Ji says there are so many people here; give them Why are you giving it to me? Then the mind is saying that you have to give the prasad.

Premanda ji took the prasad; the couple said, Come to my house. Premanda Ji went The couple made daal roti and fed it to Premanandji.

Premanda Ji says you can send me to Vrindavan. Jugal Kishore then says, Can you tell me when you will go? Premanda Ji then becomes overjoyed.

The couple made Premanda Guruji sit on the train going to Mathura. On the way, he met two people. Pleased by Guruji’s words, he offered some money, but Guruji refused. Then they said we were also going to Mathura. Come with us to where we will stay. You will also stay there. Tomorrow we will leave Vrindavan.

Next to Radheswamy Guest House in Mathura, they say we are going in and will call you later. Even after Guruji sat for a long time, no one came to call him. When the time is 11 o’clock in the night, a person comes and says, Guru ji, Shri Krishna, why are you sitting so late at night? Premanda ji says everything to that person.

The unidentified man took Premanda Guruji to his home, fed him, and told him to rest for the night. The next morning, Guruji took a bath in the Yamuna and visited Keshavji.

When Guruji was crying, one said, I want to serve you. Then Guruji said, I want to go to Vrindavan; give me Vrindavan.

The devotee made all the arrangements to go to Vrindavan and put him in the car; the driver dropped him off at Ramanreti. After some time, Premanda Guruji met Sadhu Shyamskha. Premanda told Guruji that she was coming from Banaras and wanted to visit Bihar.

About Premanand Ji Guruji’s health, he said that when he was 35 years old, his abdominal pain was very severe. Then I went to Ramakrishna Mission for treatment, and the doctor said that my two kidneys had deteriorated by more than half.

The doctor says you have polycystic kidney disease. In this disease, small cysts fill the kidney, and there is a possibility of kidney rupture. Kidney disease is genetic; children get it from their parents.

The doctor says you have 4 to 5 years at most before you will die. But he is still alive today. Premanand Ji Guruji has to undergo dialysis; he says dialysis takes more than 4 hours. And if dialysis is delayed for a few days, there is no part of the body that does not suffer.

Many devotees told Guruji that he wanted to donate his kidney, but Guruji said that it is never possible for him to do good by hurting others. I can’t think of being good by hurting someone.
